The Hartland Penninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty located on the Atlantic coastline with tumbling waterfalls ancient bridleways , sheltered footpaths and adjoining open moors, some of the best scenery North Devon can offer.
Docton Mill is only a few miles away with its wonderful tea rooms and gardens and well worth a visit – take the steep trails through the estate which dates back to time of the Saxons.
Some of North Devons better known resorts are nearby, with Bideford its nearest Town only 30 minutes drive and Barnstaple the counties major market town a further 15 minutes north (you must stop off at GT Ales our CAMRA award winning local brewery). Why not take the short trip to lively Appledore or sleepier Instow for a great choice of pubs and restaurants.
And of course Cornwall is only a few miles down the aptly named Atlantic Highway (A39). 15 miles along the Heritage Coast from Morewenstow takes you into Bude.
